We Hosted the 4th-Grade Classes from Batıkent Primary School

On Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 09:00, students from Batıkent Primary School classes 4/A and 4/D, accompanied by their teachers Neriman Çakal and Gönül Uğur Dikçe, visited the Marine Life Museum, which operates under our Marine Sciences Application and Research Center (DEBİM).
During the visit, the students were informed about topics such as marine species inhabiting the Eastern Mediterranean, life in aquatic environments, and biodiversity.
The students listened with great interest to the story of how the Fin whale—whose head and spine sections are currently undergoing renovation and maintenance at the museum—was brought to our facility.
Various species exhibited in the museum—including fossils, crustaceans, cephalopods, rays, dolphins, sharks, sea turtles, and others—were shown to the students, and information was provided regarding their lives in aquatic environments. Following the question-and-answer session, the students and accompanying teachers were seen off by our museum visit team.
